[Operator Case] Shandong Qingdao Licang Workers' Cultural Palace Charging Station

The Shandong Qingdao Licang Workers' Cultural Palace Charging Station is a profit-oriented charging station open to the public and jointly operated by StarCharge and its partners. Launched in June 2022, the station received from StarCharge, in construction and operations based on the 'cloud-pipe-terminal' model, services including station design, configuration planning, equipment selection, charging operations, insurance services, O&M management, operations platform, equipment procurement, and value-added services.

Operating results:Within half a year of launch, the station's average daily charging volume per pile had already exceeded 350 kWh. Achieving such results owes to many factors.

Equipment:The station has ample space, with 40 fast-charging parking spaces now open, equipped with 120kW dual-gun DC all-in-one units. 120kW is currently the most mainstream public charging pile power on the market, and together with StarCharge's independently developed, innovative DPA power pool technology, charging becomes even faster. Meanwhile, considering charging demand in surrounding communities, 100 slow-charging terminals are planned, 60 of which are already online. This overall mix of charging equipment meets the charging needs of different user groups, building tremendous momentum.

To eliminate fuel-vehicle occupation of spaces and similar issues, the station has also installed smart barrier gates that rise only for new energy license plates. Preventing fuel-vehicle occupation is not only about safeguarding the charging rights of NEV owners, but more importantly about reducing the losses that occupation causes operating partners.

Supporting facilities:The station has spared no effort on supporting facilities: a lounge, restaurant, and restrooms cover basic needs, and there is also a sports field for owners' entertainment; in addition, car wash machines and vending machines generate extra income and can also serve as value-added services for user retention.

As Qingdao's first four-star station, the Licang Workers' Cultural Palace Charging Station has achieved substantive differentiation from competing stations in supporting services and staff guidance. Support from headquarters' exclusive traffic pool for star-rated stations has also brought continuous growth in the station's charging volume. Our operations staff believe that the station's future charging volume and revenue will become a benchmark for public stations in Qingdao.
