StarCharge's First 'PV-Storage-Charging-Discharging-Testing Ultra-Fast Charging Demonstration Station' Lands in Beijing

Zhongqihui Building: Station-Level Microgrid, Launched!

A few parking spaces delivering five major functions — PV, storage, charging, discharging, and testing. Large power consumers and operators, will you build one?

In early December, Beijing's first ultra-fast charging microgrid integrating PV, energy storage, charging, discharging, and battery testing functions in one was installed at the Zhongqihui Building in Fengtai. Within the space of ten parking spaces, it can meet needs such as power generation and consumption, peak-valley response, electricity trading, vehicle-grid interaction, peak shaving and frequency regulation, and battery testing.

Sustainable full-lifecycle operation depends on a two-pronged approach of hardware and software. For charging, the station is equipped with advanced facilities such as a 720kW rectifier cabinet, liquid-cooled single-gun terminals, dual-gun fast-charging terminals, and V2G equipment, with short-term power output reaching 800A, meeting'3 minutes of charging for 400 li (about 200 km) of range'experience needs. In addition, by connecting to the StarCharge intelligent energy management system, the PV-storage-charging equipment on site can be networked and interact, dispatching energy in real time to form'PV-storage-charging-discharging and source-load interaction'station-level intelligent microgrids.

Calculations show that the energy savings and emission reductions will also be considerable. This pilot project is expected to generate 20,000 kWh of electricity annually and cut 14 tons of carbon dioxide emissions — equivalent to planting more than 1,000 trees. Even a small station can help achieve the 'dual carbon' goals.

At this launch ceremony, the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) presented the StarCharge Zhongqihui Building PV-Storage-Charging-Discharging-Testing Ultra-Fast Charging Demonstration Station with a 'High-Quality Charging Five-Star Station' certificate.
