StarCharge Launches European-Version 2.5MW/5MWh String-Type Energy Storage System to Serve the Global Energy Transition

21 Oct 2026

The global energy landscape is undergoing profound change. With the continuous expansion of renewable energy installed capacity and the accelerating low-carbon transition of power systems, energy storage technology is increasingly becoming a core element supporting the stable operation of new power systems. As an innovation leader deeply engaged in the smart energy field for many years, StarCharge officially launched a 2.5MW/5MWh string-type energy storage system for the European market at the 11th (2025) International Energy Storage and Battery Technology and Equipment (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition (SNEC). With its European-standard quality, high energy density, and outstanding performance, the system provides global customers with a highly integrated, well-protected, and easy-to-maintain solution.

StarCharge also exhibited its 430kW string-type liquid-cooled PCS, 60kW liquid-cooling units, and a jointly developed 60+60kW dual-circuit all-in-one liquid-cooling unit, among other products, fully demonstrating its leading product matrix and scenario-based layout in the energy storage industry and underscoring its commitment to and support for the green energy transition in Europe and around the world.

This European-version 2.5MW/5MWh string-type energy storage system features an ALL-IN-ONE design, with a single cabin integrating 12 self-developed 215kW PCS units and a 5MWh battery system, reducing on-site commissioning labor by 50% and significantly improving delivery efficiency. Its 'one-cluster-one-management' architecture refines battery management granularity 12-fold, effectively resolving circulating currents between batteries and mitigating the barrel effect during charging and discharging.

In addition, the system operates across a wide temperature range, from -30°C to 55°C, meeting the need for stable operation under the harsh climate conditions of Europe's high-latitude regions. It also features a low-noise design, making it suitable for noise-sensitive areas such as hospitals, schools, and residential zones and meeting the European market's strict requirements for quiet operation.

In terms of safety and reliability, the system is equipped with an AI cell monitoring system that provides risk warnings 72 hours in advance and supports active circuit-breaker protection; the temperature difference between clusters is controlled within ≤2°C, and combined with online coolant monitoring, battery life is effectively extended by 20%. The AI intelligent thermal management strategy reduces system energy consumption by 40%, with DC-side efficiency ≥96% and AC grid-connected-side efficiency ≥88.5%.

In recent years, StarCharge has continued to expand its overseas energy storage market, providing global customers with efficient and reliable energy storage solutions through international project cooperation, new product launches, and the construction of a full-scenario product matrix.

Looking ahead, StarCharge will continue to deepen its 'AI + new energy' innovation, empowering the global energy transformation with more efficient, safer, and smarter solutions. In the future, StarCharge will join hands with more partners to jointly promote the adoption and application of green energy, contributing the strength of 'StarCharge' to building a clean, low-carbon, and sustainable energy system.
