All along,
charging piles have been regarded as the gateway connecting
the 'Energy Internet' and the 'Industrial Internet'
Especially today,
StarCharge is building 'virtual power plants' in many places across China,
aggregating power generation, energy management, grid dispatch support, and more,
and the cybersecurity issues behind them
matter to every new energy vehicle owner.
StarCharge has kept working tirelessly on this
and has achieved a series of remarkable results.
Today, Little Star will show you
StarCharge's superpowers in cybersecurity development~
01
The IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity CB certificate, issued by Bureau Veritas — the first in the global charging pile industry!
On November 23, as Bureau Veritas Group presented StarCharge with the IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity CB certificate, StarCharge became one of the first companies in the global new energy field to receive IEC 62443-4-1 (ML2) and IEC 62443-4-2 (SL2) certifications issued by Bureau Veritas,a first in the global charging pile industry.

The IEC 62443 series of standards is the most influential family of cybersecurity standards in the field of industrial automation and control, introduced by the IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components).

IEC 62443-4-1They are security standards developed for products that safeguard the security of industrial automation and control systems, covering the entire life cycle from product development to maintenance. Obtaining IEC 62443-4-1 certification demonstrates that StarCharge consistently implements the 'security by design' philosophy throughout the entire product development process, including complete security life cycle management and patch management;

whileIEC 62443-4-2the standard is developed for the security of components within the system, certifying that StarCharge is capable of identifying and addressing cyber vulnerabilities and reducing security risks together with its customers.

Also Holding Both the 'Level 3 Classified Protection' and ISO27001 Certifications
As a digital energy company, cybersecurity has always been a key focus of StarCharge's development — it is even regarded by StarCharge as its lifeline. Beyond IEC certification, StarCharge also holds both the 'Cybersecurity Classified Protection Level 3' certification and the ISO27001 information security management system certification. Wondering how much these two certifications are worth? Let's take a look at their evaluation criteria~
First, China implements a cybersecurity classified protection system. The technical requirements of the 'Level 3 classified protection' certification cover 5 aspects — physical, network, host, application, and data — with assessment content encompassing nearly 300 requirements, including information protection, security audit, and communication confidentiality, across a total of 73 assessment categories.Passing the 'Level 3 classified protection' certification shows that StarCharge's information security management capability has reached the highest standard for non-banking institutions in China. The ISO27001 information security management system certification, meanwhile, is the industry's authoritative framework for information security development. It is an internationally recognized information security management standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization, comprising 14 control domains, 35 acceptance criteria, and 114 controls.
Holding both of these certifications fully demonstrates StarCharge's leading information technology level and security protection capabilities in cybersecurity as a leading enterprise in the new energy vehicle charging field.

Cybersecurity Issues in the Charging Field Must Not Be Overlooked
'Aren't charging piles just for charging? Does cybersecurity really come into it?' Many Star Friends may have this question. In fact, it does — for example, during the charging service process, there is a risk of users' private data being leaked as a result of cyberattacks.
Moreover, StarCharge founder and Wanbang Digital Energy Chairman Shao Danwei pointed out that charging connects two major markets: upstream to electricity, behind which lies an Energy Internet encompassing PV, storage, distribution and retail, and bidirectional charging; downstream to vehicles, behind which lies an Industrial Internet centered on the Internet of Vehicles, smart transportation, and intelligent vehicles.

From early-stage smart charging equipment R&D and manufacturing, intelligent site selection for charging stations, and smart station O&M, to smart cloud platform construction, then to 'PV-storage-charging-discharging' and 'spot electricity trading,' and on to building 'virtual power plants' and supporting grid dispatch, digital technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence are widely applied and run throughout,Every aspect — including charging pile terminals, cloud platforms, users' personal information, and grid demand response — demands attention to information security.
From the past to the future,
StarCharge will continue to spare no effort,
continuously carrying out cybersecurity development,
and constantly improving its cybersecurity technologies,
together with ecosystem partners,
jointly safeguarding cybersecurity in the charging field,
and accelerating China's green energy transition.
