Today, the microgrid project at the Xinmei Industrial Park under Guangdong Kaiping's 'Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, Ten Thousand Villages Project,' won through bidding and constructed by StarCharge, officially broke ground, marking important progress in StarCharge's efforts to support Kaiping's green transition and high-quality development.

According to reports, the project plans to build a 4101.74kW photovoltaic power station. Under the 'self-generation for self-use, with surplus power fed into the grid' model, average annual power generation will reach 4,311,600 kWh, with a self-consumption ratio of 30%. At the same time, it will build 300kWh/645kWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage systems, a 480+360kW flexible DC charging stack, a 120kW DC fast charging system, a 7kW AC slow charging system, and a 6.6kW V2G charging and discharging system.

As a leading unicorn in Asia's digital energy sector and one of China's three major charging operators, StarCharge already possesses complete and mature microgrid investment and operation capabilities, with all of the core software and hardware equipment independently developed by StarCharge — secure and controllable.

Under StarCharge's efficient 'software + services + hardware' operating model, its intelligent energy management platform carries out energy management and orderly dispatch of the intelligent microgrid composed of the PV system, the energy storage system, and the intelligent charging and discharging equipment. The clean energy generated by the PV system is given priority for EV charging, while the surplus power, under the energy storage peak-valley arbitrage model, is used for energy time-shifting or fed into the grid, helping the grid shave peaks and fill valleys, provide peak and frequency regulation, and achieve stable operation.
'Currently, following the layout of charging network — intelligent microgrid — Mobile Energy Internet, we are carrying out a new energy full-chain industrial upgrade spanning charging, power generation, storage, consumption, and trading,' said Li Tao, Vice President of StarCharge.
Winning this bid is a strong affirmation of StarCharge's comprehensive strength and technical capabilities, as well as a high recognition of the StarCharge brand and its products.

In recent years, Kaiping has actively promoted the construction of green and clean energy projects, continuously explored a path of green, high-quality development, and kept marching toward becoming a county-level low-carbon demonstration city, forging a distinctive 'Kaiping Path.' Notably, Kaiping is the only city- or county-level unit among the first batch of 48 carbon peaking and carbon neutrality pilot units announced by Guangdong Province.
It is worth mentioning that this year is also the inaugural year of Guangdong's 'Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, Ten Thousand Villages Project.' Taking this project as a good beginning, StarCharge will continue to leverage its own advantages and strength — through its efficient 'software + services + hardware' operating model, leading technologies such as high-power charging, virtual power plants, and green electricity trading, and its mature overall microgrid solutions — to contribute more wisdom and strength to the adjustment of the energy structure and the transformation and upgrading of industries in Kaiping and across Guangdong, write a perfect footnote for the 'Kaiping Path,' and jointly help China achieve its 'dual carbon' goals at an early date.
Little Star's Notes: Previously, StarCharge had already joined hands with Yancheng, Changzhou, Harbin, and many other cities to actively explore urban charging network construction, digitalized and intelligent energy management and application, comprehensive green energy planning, new energy industries, the digital economy, and other fields. In the future, it looks forward to seeing more cities join in and write a new chapter of low-carbon, green development in China together with StarCharge.
