June 2, an energy storage project built by Wanbang Digital Energy officially broke ground at Changzhou Hongwei Textile Co., Ltd. With an installed capacity of 3MW/6.45MWh, it is equivalent to a 'giant power bank', storing electricity from the grid during off-peak hours and discharging it for the enterprise to use during peak hours. It can not only reduce electricity expenses, help the enterprise get through the summer peak, and ensure its stable electricity use, but also help the grid shave peaks and fill valleys.

With rapid economic and social development, total electricity consumption keeps rising, the peak-valley gap in the grid load curve keeps widening, and 'power shortages' and 'power rationing' occur frequently. Jiangsu's peak-valley electricity price spread is relatively high, giving user-side energy storage a natural advantage, and in recent years it has won recognition from more and more end customers. As Asia's digital energy unicorn, Wanbang Digital Energy has also actively positioned itself in this track in recent years, and its latest C&I energy storage products show standout advantages.
It is reported that the energy storage cabinets all adopt a new All In One design, consisting of battery clusters, an energy storage converter (PCS), a battery management system (BMS), a fire protection system, and outdoor cabinets, ultimately forming a 100kW/215kWh energy storage system. Each unit covers an area of less than 1.6 square meters, which is not only safer, but also allows flexible placement and free combination, supports capacity increases or reductions at any time, and is plug-and-play.

It is understood that Changzhou Hongwei Textile Co., Ltd. currently consumes about 51.48 million kWh of electricity per year, an average of 141,000 kWh per day. After the two sides began their cooperation, building on the enterprise's remaining power capacity and through an energy management contract model, 30 such 100kW/215kWh C&I energy storage systems will be deployed, ultimately adding 3MW/6.45MWh of enterprise power capacity and shifting about 12,000 kWh per day on average from peak to valley, effectively addressing the 'power rationing' problem during each summer's peak demand season, reducing losses in production capacity, helping the enterprise get through the summer peak, and ensuring a stable power supply.

Notably, the battery intelligent control system equipped in this energy storage system monitors the status of every single cell. According to Wanbang laboratory test data, the system can achieve more than 6,000 cycles and can help the core component — the battery cell — achieve a calendar life of more than 10 years. In later O&M, through Wanbang Digital Energy's intelligent energy storage cloud management and high-precision, multi-dimensional forecasting algorithms, the system also supports preventive and remote maintenance, ultimately ensuring the safe and stable operation of the system.
In the future, through Wanbang Digital Energy's smart factory total solutions and relying on technologies and capabilities such as virtual power plants, PV-storage-charging-discharging, and green electricity trading, multiple profit models — peak shaving and valley filling, demand management, spot electricity trading, and emergency power — can be stacked and combined to generate more additional revenue, further promoting the high-quality development of user-side energy storage, moving it from pilot demonstrations to full rollout, and contributing Wanbang Digital Energy's wisdom and strength to accelerating the building of Changzhou into the 'New Energy Capital', advancing China's green energy transition, and constructing a new-type energy system.
